About InkProof
InkProof is a free Canva app that checks your design for common print production issues before you send it to the printer. With one click, it scans for safe zone violations, low-resolution images, CMYK-unsafe colors, and print dimension problems.
InkProof runs entirely inside Canva's editor. It does not collect, store, or transmit any user data. There is no backend server, no analytics, and no account required.
This site does not use cookies.
What It Checks
Safe Zones
Detects elements too close to the trim edge that could be cut off during printing.
Image Resolution
Flags low-DPI images that will look blurry or pixelated when printed.
CMYK Safety
Warns about RGB colors that won't reproduce accurately on press.

InkProof is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the app handles information when you use it within Canva.
Data We Collect
None. InkProof does not collect, store, process, or transmit any personal data or user information.
How the App Works
- InkProof reads your current design page inside the Canva editor to analyze elements for print readiness.
- All analysis happens locally in your browser. No data leaves your device.
- The app does not use cookies, local storage, analytics services, or tracking of any kind.
- The app does not require authentication or account creation.
Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
To the extent any processing occurs, it is based on legitimate interest in providing the requested preflight analysis service. All processing is performed entirely on your device within your browser and no data is transmitted to any external server.
Third-Party Services
InkProof does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services, APIs, or servers.
Image Access
InkProof temporarily accesses image URLs provided by Canva's asset API solely to measure image resolution for the print quality check. These URLs are loaded in your browser to read pixel dimensions and are not stored, logged, or transmitted anywhere.
Design Modifications
When you run a print check, InkProof may add temporary colored rectangles to your design to visualize the print safe zone. These overlay elements can be removed with a single click or by using Canva's undo feature. InkProof does not modify or delete any of your existing design content.
Data Retention
Not applicable. InkProof does not store any data. All analysis is performed in real time in your browser and discarded immediately upon completion. No information persists after you close or navigate away from the app.
International Data Transfers
Not applicable. InkProof does not transfer any data outside your device. All processing occurs locally in your browser.
Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the right under the General Data Protection Regulation to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data, as well as the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Because InkProof does not collect or store any personal data, these rights do not apply in practice. If you believe we hold any of your data in error, please contact [email protected] and we will promptly investigate.
Your Rights Under CCPA / CPRA (California)
If you are a California resident, you have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. Children's Privacy
InkProof does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Because InkProof does not collect or store any information, this scenario is not technically possible. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal information from a child under 13, we will delete such information immediately.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. For material changes, we will update the effective date and, where possible, provide notice through the Canva app listing or this website.

Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use InkProof. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.
Description of Service
InkProof is a free Canva app that performs automated checks on your design to identify potential print production issues. It provides guidance only — final print quality depends on your printer, paper, and export settings.
Canva Platform
InkProof is built using Canva's Apps SDK and operates within Canva's platform. Your use of InkProof is also subject to Canva's Terms of Use and Canva's Privacy Policy. In the event of any conflict between these terms and Canva's terms, Canva's terms shall govern with respect to the Canva platform.
No Warranty
INKPROOF IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE APP'S ANALYSIS IS INFORMATIONAL ONLY AND DOES NOT GUARANTEE PRINT QUALITY OR ACCURACY. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING YOUR DESIGN MEETS YOUR PRINTER'S SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JEFF MICHAEL JOHNSON AND ANY CONTRIBUTORS TO INKPROOF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO, USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP (USD $0.00). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR LIABILITY, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Jeff Michael Johnson and any contributors to InkProof from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including but not limited to reasonable attorney's fees) arising from: (a) your use of the app; (b) your violation of these terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right.
Design Modifications
InkProof may add temporary visual overlay elements to your design to illustrate safe zones. These can be removed via the app or Canva's undo feature. InkProof will never delete or permanently alter your existing design elements.
Intellectual Property
InkProof, its name, the Proofessor mascot, and all associated artwork are the property of Jeff Michael Johnson. All rights reserved. Canva and the Canva logo are trademarks of Canva Pty Ltd. InkProof is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Canva.
Termination
You may stop using InkProof at any time. We reserve the right to discontinue the app or modify its availability at any time without prior notice. Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive — including limitation of liability, indemnification, intellectual property, governing law, and dispute resolution — shall continue in full force and effect.
Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of InkProof shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Michigan. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection to venue in such courts.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Jeff Michael Johnson regarding InkProof and supersede all prior agreements, representations, warranties, and understandings, whether written or oral, with respect to the app.
Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated at any time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of InkProof after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
